4). Niels Bohr Atom Model

4). Niels Bohr Atom Model
• Model atomic based on quantum theory to explain the spectrum hydrogen gas.
• According to Bohr, the spectrum shows that the electrons only occupy the high-level atomic energy in particular.
According to him:
a) consists of a core Atom had a positive and circulating around the electron-electron be negative.
b) the electrons circulating in the atomic nucleus beset particular orbit, known as the movement of stationer (still) hereinafter referred to as the main energy level (skin electron) stated that the main quantum number (n).
c) During the electron is in orbit stationer, energy will remain, so there is no light emanated.
d) electrons can only move from the track stationer to a lower trajectory stationer higher if absorb energy. Conversely, if the electrons move from the track stationer higher to lower energy release occurred.
e) In normal circumstances (without outside influence), electrons occupy the lowest energy level (called a basic level = ground state).

The weakness of the Niels Bohr Atom Model:
1. Can only explain the spectrum of the atom or ion containing one electron and not in accordance with the atom or ion spectrum of manelectrony.
2. Not able to explain that the atom can form molecules through chemical bonds.
